Eireya has no pope and no single centre. Authority is spread wide, in the pattern of things that endure β so that no one failure can bring the whole down, and no one hand can seize it.
Three disciplines: mediation of conflict, the fundamentals of psychology and behaviour, and the history of how religions have failed β learning from every traditionβs mistakes is a required study.
No power to absolve sins. No personal donations. No legal privilege. A Listener has one duty β to listen and to build bridges. Every Listener is audited by their community each year, and may be recalled by a 60% vote.
No level of Eireya may hold more than three years of operating costs. Surplus flows to animal welfare, education, and disaster relief. This high-level rule may be reviewed only when evidence shows that its mechanism no longer serves its purpose.
No selling of merit, office, or blessing β every rite is free, always. Income comes only from anonymous voluntary giving (so influence cannot be bought) and mediation services offered at what each can afford.
